Indie Music Campaign

Social Campaign

Opening piece

Less mainstream

Social post: a hand holds up a camera to a band in a dark room; typewriter text reads “looking for something less mainstream?” and “listen to Laundry Day with Spotify”
Role
Concept, art direction, photo compositing and hand-written annotation across four posts
Disciplines
Digital design, campaign consistency, art direction
Deliverables
Four social executions for stories and grid.

The brief

Create marketing deliverables of your choice to promote an “Indie Music” campaign. Gabriella made four social posts promoting smaller indie bands, intended for Instagram stories and grid posts.

The concept

Four executions share a handwritten annotation style laid over photography, each using a different device — a festival crowd, a now-playing screen shot from above, a polaroid artist collage, and a camera held up to a band — so the set reads as one campaign while staying varied enough to post in sequence.

The other three posts

A grid post, a story and a vertical post — the same handwritten annotation over three different photographic devices.

Miss the fest?

Social post: the band Ocean Alley photographed in a wildflower field inside a cream frame, with hand-lettered “Miss the fest? Luckily, you can listen with Spotify”

Artists

Vertical post: a collage of polaroid photographs of artists on crumpled paper — Hozier, Peach Pit and Still Woozy among them — with “Where you can find your authentic artists” and “Listen with Spotify”

Currently listening to…

Vertical story post: a phone-style now-playing card for “Private Presley” by Peach Pit over dark asphalt with a white line, boots and jeans at the bottom, and “Listen with Spotify”
